Titans sign receiver Donnie Avery
The Tennessee Titans placed receiver Kenny Britt on injured reserve Wednesday and signed Donnie Avery to fill his spot on the roster.
Britt tore both his ACL and MCL in his right knee during last week's 17-14 win over Denver. He will need surgery within the next two weeks to repair the damage, but the injury left Tennessee (2-1) with only four receivers. The Titans worked out a handful of receivers Tuesday and Wednesday before signing Donnie Avery.
