Katie Kenseth, wife of NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth, was taken to the hospital and then later released after crashing during practice for the Better Half Dash on Sept. 26, 2011.
Her injuries were not just the everyday bruises that NASCAR drivers get, however. Matt Kenseth revealed on Twitter that she broke her shoulder. She will not be appearing in the race due to the injury. This was the first of two practice sessions for the event, with the other session being Wednesday, Sept. 28.
